Sorry for the long absence and lack of new entries. Was sick for a few weeks and then too swamped with school and work to find much time to draw anything. Plus I felt like I was running out of ideas of species for my speculative evolution project. Really trying not to have many cliches or simply grafting species A into the niche of species B, etc. Anyway, I've been doing some brainstorming over the past few days (plus organizing what I've written into essays) and sketched some ideas for new bird species (including a family of passerines derived from starlings, but with bizarre wattles and plumage).

Greetings! As my first journal entry, I wanted to put up some info about my spec evolution project. It's something I've been workng on for a couple of years now (and have posted about in the Speculative Evolution Forum), though I'm finally getting around to writing about the species and their habitats. I've named it the New Eden Project (I may rename it in the future though), and it covers the fauna and flora of Earth 25 million years in the future. Briefly I toyed with the idea of having it cover a timeline leading up to 100 million years hence, though I scrapped that idea and will focus on one time period. Well, here goes :) : Zoogeographi
